I was lucky enough to receive lovely rings from Alix and her jewellery shop Covet Jewellery. I love rings and jewellery in general, so obviously had to take pictures straight away and stare at them for a while. I was lucky enough to receive the Turquoise Arty Ring which of course is reminiscent of the famour YSL arty ring, but much much cheaper - as well as the Three Stone Turquoise Ring. I have to say I love them, I'm already a sucker for 'turquoise' stones so obviously these got me rather excited! Alix's shop is great, both rings came in a little bag and are so affordable, so definately check out her shop

ear cuffs : ebay

You may remember me posting about my love for ear cuffs here . After that post, I bought some and have been wearing them regularly for quite a while now. I love the way they look and they're much more interesting than earrings in my opinion. If I'd known you can wear them so easily with no need for a piercing before I got my cartilage pierced, I probably wouldn't have bothered (although I do like my cartilage piercing, it took a long time to heal) I have found some good seller's on ebay that sell celtic style ones, snake ones, patterned ones, plain ones and every other type you could want. By the way, sorry for the last two pictures - I find ear photos really really creepy/wierd. Especially my ears!

Here are some photographs I have taken this week. One of my new year's resolutions was to take more photographs, especially as I got a new camera for christmas. I am of course by no means 'professional' - I've never done 'proper' photography but I do really enjoy taking pictures and working with composition/lighting. I really love my new camera, despite not being a flashy SLR or anything, it's still very good in my opinion.

I was wondering, what do you think is the most important element of a photo? And do you have any tips of how to take the best photographs? (p.s Happy New year!)

I recently found this jumper in a charity shop for only £1, which seemed too good to miss. People seem to pay so much for these kinds of things on ebay etc. at the moment so I was keen to snap it up quickly! It seems to be quite 80's, but whether it actually is I'm not quite sure...

I haven't posted here in so long! I've not had much to post about... mainly because I'm boring. I went to see breaking dawn recently, it was so mucb better than I had anticipated - but surprisingly gory for a 12! I also went to the clothes show this week, which was really good but made me feet kill. It was worth it; the only thing I'd say is it's a bit wierd to have to pay to get in to somewhere where you just walk around and buy things for the majority of the time...? Still, got some nice stuff so I'm not complaining :)

Happy Halloween!
After much umming and ahhing over what to go as for halloween, I decided on just going with a bullet in the head. (at the very last minute) which meant my outfit in no ways matched and looked pretty shit, but the 'wound' turned out pretty good... so I thought I'd share! + all I used was toilet roll, eyelash glue, black eyeshadow, lipstick and fake blood!

I have been lusting after a pair of aztec print leggings, love these topshop ones - though obvs. they're a little OTT in price! Also love this H&M cat jumper, it's sooo cute as well as the adorable 'campbells' soup neclace from Junkie Lovers!

I'm really intrigued by the new Kate Moss lipsticks, especially this deep red which is such a nice colour. Looking through the topshop makeup also makes me want all the cream blushes, especially 'pop' - sadly my local topshop doesn't do the makeup :'(

I haven't blogged in ages! I suppose I could blame that on lack of inspiration and general laziness. I don't really know what to say. Nothing particularly interesting has occured in my life recently, but it's great. I'm really enjoying what I'm doing and feeling like there's generally a purpose to everyday. Apparently, according to the above pictures my hair can be ginger, green and just about everything else, the camera I used it really wierd and makes colours look strange... oh and please excuse my red-no-makeup-face, I felt I had to prove i'm still alive somehow ;)

I got a second (do both lobes count as one?!) piercing the other day. I know alot of people have this particular piercing so it's not that original... I'm not actually sure what it's called, does anyone know? Anyway yeah I really like it, strangely much more than the lobe piercings, I think it's more interesting.

I speak a few different languages and my first language is Afrikaans not English

2. Do you have any strong interests besides blogging/cosmetics/fashion etc.?
I am one of those people that is interested in almost everything. I am very passionate about politics and conservation and recycling although most people wouldn't guess that. I also love outdoor activities and cooking is definitely a big passion for me.

3. Who do you look up to amongst your friends and family?
I look up to my mom because she has always had an attitude of i can do it. So i don't have to often ask for help because if she could do it while looking after three kids i can definitely do it! :)

4. 10 things you'd like to do if the world ended next week?
Go to New York and shop like a crazy person
Do something crazy like bungee jump. I am always the one sitting on the side while everyone else does the extreme stuff
Spend a whole day eating my favorite foods and not feeling bad about it at all!
Get married! Haha myself and my boyfriend have been together for 9 years so i think the world ending would give us a push!
Go visit all my family.
Have a romantic dinner sitting on a beach at a table halfway in the water
Go to a south pacific island
Dance the whole night long
Have a massive family dinner

5. What quote do you try to live by in life?
Not really a quote but i try and live my life based on karma, i try to not do things that i wouldn't want done to me.

6. Do you have any phobias?

Yes loads! Deep open water, small spaces and people touching in between my toes which freaks me out big time.

7. If you could look like any celebrity for a day, who would it be?
Hmmm tough one but at the moment i think i would have to say Mila kunis if it is a celeb and if its a model Adrianna lima

8. How would you describe your overall style in three words?
Fun, colorful and feminine

9. Do you think your blog reflects all aspects of your life or do you like to keep it separate and different?
I dont try and keep my life and blog separate as they are so integrated with each other. I also feel like its nicer to know a little bit more about the person blogging than just what clothes they wear.

10. What would you like to do/accomplish/be in the future?
I would love to continue working on my blog and business full time :)

Once more I am going to witter on about my love for MAC's shy girl lipstick. I had already posted about it here but didn't go into much detail in terms of photos! As I love it so much, I thought I'd just blog about it again...

I know alot of people love Shy Girl as it's one of those colours that's almost 'inexplicable' - for want of a better word - colours. It's described on the MAC website as a 'creamy neutral coral beige' which is probably as close to describing it as I could get. I personally find it's the perfect combination of pink, nude and coral - muted and wearable whilst still adding a pop of colour. It was actually the first MAC lipstick I ever used and I loved everything about it - especially the finish, which is cremesheen, thus adding a bit of a glossy (but not sticky) finish! I always find it looks different each time I take a photograph of it, sometimes it looks very light, sometimes very dark, orange or even red. I have tried a matte MAC lipstick and it was nowhere near as nice as Shy Girl. The colour seems to go with pratically every skintone (perhaps not super pale though...)

If your trying to choose which MAC lipstick to buy first (I took aggggges deciding!) then I really would recommend Shy Girl. I am looking for a cheap drugstore dupe and a few have come close but nothing matches it exactly, have any of you found a good dupe for this lipstick?

Brat & Suzie shop

I don't know if anyone watched Dragons Den yesterday evening? If you did then you may possibly be just as wowed by the illustration based t-shirts and tops from 'Brat & Suzie'. I have just spend literally an hour looking through their site and wishing I could have everything (if only my bank balance was a little better!) Some of the illustrations really remind me of Beatrix Potter, especially the little rabbit t-shirt. I just adore the raccoon on the bicycle and the llama in socks - genius! I could have put tonnes and tonnes of pictures into this post but somehow managed to contain myself! I would seriously recommend checking out their website and stuff - I'm dying to get my hands on one of these!

I've been lounging around all week, doing some cleaning and organising things - that's why my makeup and hair is so boring! here are some pictures form st.fagans welsh history museum which was a nice day out - especially since the sun made a admirable appearance! I wasn't 100% sure on the authenticity of all the 'old' buildings but it was still really interesting to see the old welsh lifestyle etc.

I decided to do a bit of a different outfit post today, rather than just the generic 'poses' - mostly because I'm feeling very lazy/ lighting was awful. Anyway, I won this dress in a giveaway from Sian at Shutterbug (did she close her blog down?!) and I really like it, the only down side is it was limited edition and you can no longer buy it! It wasn't something I would usually pick out as I don't often go for peter pan collars of vibrant colours, however I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like it!

1. What's one thing your readers don't generally know about you?
I really really really dislike talking on the phone. I'm super shy in real life so I think that's got a lot to do with it. If I have to call a stranger I always have a mini panic attack first and stumble over my words even if I know what I want to say. It's really embarrassing so I always stick to emails, texts or letters wherever possible!

2. Do you have any strong interests besides blogging/cosmetics/fashion etc.?My first love has always been photography. There's something incredibly magical about being able to snap a photograph of whatever you're doing that day and keep it forever as a visual accompaniment to your memories.

3. Who do you look up to amongst your friends and family?My mama. She's one of the strongest people I've ever met and takes everything so effortlessly in her stride. She's my best friend and I wouldn't be the person I am today without her guidance and support!

I would like to think that my blog is a pretty good representation of me and my life but I wouldn't say it reflects it perfectly. Most of the things I do are incredibly mundane, so much so that no one would want to read about them, and there are new directions that I would like to take my blog in in the future.

10. What would you like to do/be in the future? More than anything, one day, I would like to be a wife and a mother. But I would also absolutely love to be able to make a few pennies from my photography and also to design and hand make pretty jewellery from a studio in my home. That's the ultimate dream!

ouch. writing this with a splitting headache! This was the first time I wore full makeup in ages, it kind of felt wierd. I wasn't going anywhere, I just fancied playing about with some colours. I'm not used to wearing foundation and it felt really strange, haven't worn it for a few months now! I really love the Stila one though as it feels light, I actually got it here but sadly they don't stock it anymore - however I do have this tinted moisturiser from the same line which is really really good, and so cheap on that site!

On another note, I am stuck for ideas of what to blog about at the moment, so if you guys want to request posts (anything!) then please do so below - it would be really helpful!

1. What's one thing your readers don't generally know about you?

I think something that I've kept under wraps quite well is that I was part of a stage school for about eight or nine years, and that I've danced since I was five! I stopped classes when I moved to University, but it is definitely one of my passions that I always wish I could have continued with.

2. Do you have any strong interests besides blogging/cosmetics/fashion etc.?

Besides fashion and blogging, I love to write creatively and I'm a huge literature fan, and a general information nerd! I'm forever sitting and reading up on the most random pages of Wikipedia, just to soak up useless information that might come in handy in the very far-off future ;)

3. Who do you look up to amongst your friends and family?

Amongst my family, I really look up to my Mum. As much as I love to disagree with her on everything, I know she always has my best interests at heart, and she does such an amazing job of raising my brother and sister and I, all while juggling the upkeep of our restaurant and other businesses! I've never known a more ambitious, driven and hardworking lady.

4. 10 things you'd like to do if the world ended next week?

Ooh this is quite difficult!

- Visit the Tahiti Islands, because they are so beautiful.

- Visit Kyoto, Japan, for the very same reason, and to soak up the culture and history there.

- Confess my undying love for Rupert Grint.

- Film a music video to showcase my *ahem* excellent singing skills that I've honed in the shower.

- Visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and spend my savings on endless Butterbeer, Hogwarts robes, sending owl post to my loved ones and purchasing a wand.

- Own a Proenza Schouler PS11 bag.

- Be published in the Sunday Times Style magazine.

- Meet Jay Chou (my all-time favourite singer).

- Spend a day eating all of my favourite foods with my family and best friends.

- Meet Karl Lagerfeld and Marc Jacobs.

5. What quote do you try to live by in life?

I have so many favourite quotes, I keep a little log of them on my Tumblr! At the moment I love "settle for everything, or nothing at all", because I'm quite the determined one and always work towards achieving everything that I want.

7. If you could look like any celebrity for a day, who would it be?

I'm not entirely sure I'd want to look like a celebrity, the attention would send me into a nervous breakdown! I think Zooey Deschanel is beautiful though, so maybe her.

My blog reflects my personal style, what I do from day to day and my personal tastes in fashion, but I wouldn't say it reflects my life completely. Please excuse my no makeup face! I can't be bothered with makeup recently. If you follow me on twitter you may know that I haven't had the best week. I don't really want to go into it, just been feeling a little down in the dumps since monday. Thankyou for all the lovely tweets you guys sent me, they were so sweet

I bought this dress the other day from trusty primark! I actually altered it as it originally had large ruffley bits going all down the front chest area and over the shoulders. I hated them so chopped them off and loooove the dress now. Also purchased my first 'elbow patch' piece of clothing *howard moon fan here*. I love this cardigan, the colour seems to go with everything - I originally saw it on this youtubers outfit of the day video and really liked it, happy I found it in my local H&M!

My hairs probably more blonde since I last did an outfit post, it's a combination of at home highlights and the hot hot sun in greece (wish i was still there!)

review: elf studio flawless finish foundation

I was recently sent a new release product from the elf studio line; flawless finish foundation. This foundation is a little more pricey than the other studio line products, coming in at £6.50, so is it worth it?

Upon first application, I was impressed. The formulation was very smooth and easy to blend out, not stiff like some foundations that stick to certain areas and go patchy. It gave me a nice glowing colour and dewy finish.

As I have oily/combination skin, I was pleased to see that this foundation is oil free. What surprised me though is that, considering it's oil free, it gave a very dewy finish - a kind of dewy some people might find too much. In order to tone it down a little and make it more matte, alot of blending with a soft brush was required. I had to powder afterwards for fear of looking shiny later on (always a problem for me) Once I have blended it out evenly, the finish was really nice; not at all streaky and very natural looking - but still with medium coverage. It's also buildable, so could be worn sheer or heavy depending on what coverage you like.

I agree with the claims of "brighter and radiant looking skin" as it gives a very glowy, natural look and doesn't make the skin look flat or one colour. However I don't agree with the claims of a "semi-matte finish" as in my opinion, anything but a dewy finish with this foundation could only be achieved with a setting powder ontop - having said this I think a semi-matte finish would be more attainable if you have normal/dry skin.

Despite this minor set back of needing a powder to cover, I am very impressed with the packaging. The sleek glass bottle is comparable to that of Nars Sheer Glow or Chanel Pro Lumiere. And how could I not mention the pump - it's a great elf included this as so many people find pouring foundations very messy and wasteful.

I found this made the skin look really lovely, especially when I applied bronzer and blusher afterwards. As it's a dewy even finish, powders blend over it very well, appearing natural and complimentary. I found a great combination was sweeping the Bourjois Delice de Poudre over the contour areas and topping off with a peachy pink blush on the cheeks. So overall yes, it's worth the money if you like the sound of what it does. If you favour a very matte 'same colour all over' look, this might be hit or miss, but if your looking for a natural, dewy foundation with anything from sheer to heavy coverage, definately give it a go!

1. What's one thing your readers don't generally know about you?

I am obsessed with tomato ketchup! I have it on everything and certainly cannot eat a portion of chips without it! I can quite easily go through a bottle in 2 weeks ;) I have a serious addiction going on there.

2. Do you have any strong interests besides blogging/cosmetics/fashion etc.?

As lame as it sounds, no! I'm working at an Internship in London at the moment which means 13 hour days, so when I get home eating, blogging and sleeping is about all I have time for! I guess you could say I have a strong interest in the Kardashians ;) I love reading their blogs and seeing what they get up to, and their shows crack me up! Khloe is my favourite.

3. Who do you look up to amongst your friends and family?

Although she is younger I admire my sister cause she is pretty cool (god she is going to rip me for saying that!). And I really look up to one of my best friends Mel, who I have known since I was 2. She has some serious drive and is currently pursuing a career in Law - you go girl!

4. 10 things you'd like to do if the world ended next week?

1) Travel through Italy in a pink Cadillac

Oooo you know what I would love to be Lisa Eldridge for a day! She is an absolutely beautiful woman and so knowledgeable about beauty and the industry. From creating amazing looks on celebrities to liaising with Boots No7 on their latest line - I would love to see what she gets up to!

8. How would you describe your overall style in three words?

Neutral, baggy and simple. Sound attractive doesn't it? Lol!

9. Do you think your blog reflects all aspects of your life or do you like to keep it separate and different?

Yes I like to think that my blog reflects not only my love of beauty but also aspects of my life too. I think it's nice to share what has been going on, I know that I myself am a bit nosey and I like to see what other bloggers have been getting up as well!

10.What would you like to do/be in the future?

I would love to turn my passion for beauty into a job! I'm currently interning at a Beauty PR agency, but would want to explore all aspects and in the future it would be great if I could write about beauty for a living :)

re-discovered my love for this sheer skater dress from primark. The only down side to it is that I have to wear alot underneath, a black cami, black skirt, so that I'm not flashing (yuck) all over the place. I think I got it last year for about £3 in the sale, crazy. the weathers lovely so I'm going to go outside and attempt to get a tan! I burnt all down my back when I went to the river yesterday, i had forgotten how it felt! hope you have a lovely week and hello to all my new followers!

not a very exciting post i know ;) I absolutely adore half baked and bunny hop together, they make the perfect combination to bring out green eyes thanks to the pink and gold. I love the packaging of benefit creaseless cream shadows too, it's so pretty and expensive feeling. I was in need of some new converse as my red ones are becoming very worn and battered! loved the mini glamour giveaway this month, highbeam is so much better than i expected - tempted to save up and buy the full size!

a bit of a different post today, i haven't posted an outfit for ages and thought i might as well! i have been really into high-waisted skirts at the moment, they seem to be fairly flattering as well so it's all good! especially as primark have lots of lovely cheap (£5 ish) skirts in a variety of floral patterns. i know to some this might seem like clashing of the stripes and flowers, but i personally like it.

i am currently growing my hair, i haven't had it cut for over half a year now i'd say. i just want really long hair so much! haha. also, i'm planning on giving myself a few highlights in the near future, like a blondey golden colour just to lighten my hair a little, but i'm going to do them myself so that they don't look 'uniform' and i can be a bit more choosey with the placement! i am hoping to (one day) have hair like this.. haha, yeah right

anyways, i'm off to watch camelot!

review; new elf studio lip balms.

I was recently sent these two new studio lipbalms from elf and thought I would do a small review!

"including Vitamins A & E and SPF 15 to protect delicate lips against harmful sun damage."

These new studio lipbalms from elf are 7.5 grams each and come in a variety of six wearable shades. The container that each lipbalm comes in is fairly large, for example, much larger than the cream eyeliner from their studio range which is only 4.7 grams. On the plus side this means you get value for money, though on a negative note they are fairly bulky and not completely convenient for travelling/storing. However the packaging does look sleek, simple and in keeping with the standard black studio packaging.

The smell is really nice, quite similar to the smell of MAC lipsticks in my opinion. The consistency is very smooth and unlike a lipgloss, not sticky at all but more a cream like texture. Once applied to the lips they become more sheer than they appear in the pot. Although, when built up they can look like opaque lipsticks, though of course with all the added benefits of a balm in healing chapped/dry lips.

My favourite shade out of the two is mellow melon as it's very flattering on all skintones, warm and cool. Being sheer, they add a hint of colour, making them much more wearable and easy to get away with than the average lipstick. Mellow melon is a light pink with a warm hint of coral and Romantic rouge is a medium berry red pink. Both shades have a gloss/balm type finish, comparable to the 17 watershine lipsticks and contain no shimmer or glitter. These lipbalms can be found here, so check them out if your interested!

001. I went to the zoo with some family members on wednesday. It was actually Cotswold, which i've never been to before. They have some amazing animals, meerkats, penguins, giraffes, lions - i would say they were all cute and fluffy but most of them were quite scary (mainly wierd birds with hairdos?) the penguins kept dancing around and posing for pictures on their own accord!

002. I have so much revision to do, I just want to get through these exams then hopefully relax, though I'm doubtful. With all this hot weather in england too, the idea of sitting inside and revising is like torture. I've been taking pictures for future blog posts whilst procrastinating!

I recently bought this satchel from Primark, as featured in this post. I have been using it constantly as it goes with practically anything and always looks fairly neat. I'm glad that I got the navy with tan detailing, as the tan would have been too similar to so many other satchels in my opinion, I love the navy anyway. I have been asked many times whether it's from Topshop and my teacher even asked if I bought it from Cath Kidston, and their always so shocked when I tell them it's Primark!

Currently reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is a very good book. I'm going through it really fast and I don't want to because I feel like I will be at a loss when I have finished the whole series and won't know what to do with myself :') How sad.

i actually won these two in a giveaway fairly recently, the palette particularly is very nice, the shades are pretty autumnal, really rich and the shimmer is gorgeous. I love the headband too, especially the big bow!

I have been looking for a cheap satchel for ages to use for school. I found this one in Primark for £9 after shabna recommended I go there for an afordable one! I love the dark navy blue mixed with the tan faux leather, it's just what I was looking for and the perfect length and size, got to love primark!

My mum bought me this beautiful vintage mirror at an antiques market. It reminds me of a mirror from a fairytale or something a princess might own. I love the handle and the attention to detail is amazing, especially on the embroidery on the back and that long elegant handle!

So yes, I'm finally back from a short break. I managed to feel less stressed with exams, revision, learning scripts as I had enough time to balance all those things! I'm looking forward to blogging again, I missed it a little if I'm honest! 10 days probably doesn't seem much, but it was just enough for a little break!

Also, I re-decorated my blog a little, new header, background and some new widgets etc. in the sidebar. Hope you like it, I prefer it much more with this layout and am planning to keep it for a while!

I was recently sent a selection of beautiful jewellery from the unique online jewellery shop, Junkie Lovers.com. Previous to recieving these products, I had recieved one as a birthday gifts from a freind back in February and was blown away by how cute the piece was. Junkie Lovers frequently updates it's range of quirky and kitcsh jewellery and accessories and was created by Anouska Smith who manages to create amazing little things which I have never seen on any other jewellery site, as well as make it very affordable.The whole site is very much inspired by vintage trends, colourful kitcsh and indie fashion.

Kit-Kat and Dairy Milk chocolate necklaces

These two are definately my favourite things I own from Junkie Lovers, they have so much attention to detail and I literally could not find them anywhere else. They both retail for £10 each which is cheap considering their both around 7cm and come on 18 inch silver chains with clasps. I have had so many compliment of these two neclaces, especially the Dairy Milk bar. I think they catch your eye because their so different, not something you would expect to have on a neclace and so realistic too. When I got them I was tempted to bite them just to make sure it wasn't real chocolate! Also, the chains are not too long, which I personally like. For me, they just hang about the line of a top or dress. I don't like those neclaces that hang down really low as sometimes they can clash with the material of whatever your wearing.

Wooden Owl of the Night Brooch

Isn't this just the cutest thing? I have a bit of a thing for birds and this just really hit the spot. I showed it to my sister and she loved it too! This lovely owl is around 7cm long and 5.5cm wide at it's widest point, so pretty big I'm sure you'll agree! It retails for £10, which again is great value when you consider that it's already plated with a pin and is mostly hand cut and etched. It's such a personal piece too, it mentions on the site that the wood tarnishes slightly in the places where it's been etched, which makes each and everyone just that bit more unique. I have never come across a brooch like this, I know alot of jewellery shops do the type of brooches with beads and bows etc. but I rarely ever see them made from wood. I just find the combination of the owl and the wood so fitting, and don't think he would be half as handsome if he'd been fashioned from any other material! I especially love the little peepers, which actually have whole to look through, I don't know if that was primarily the idea though!

It's A Bling Ring Innit - Mirror Silver Ring

This is ultimate bling ring. The craftsmanship in this piece is quite remarkable, you can literally see all the etched lines that have been so neatly marked into the ring, though the picture doesn't show this! It measures around 2cm which again, is a pretty sizeable ring! This ring is actually a mirror, so it reflects whatever it's facing, pretty snazzy, non? This retails for £6 and has a 'stretchable' silver band that allows you to fit it correctly to each finger, so it can go anywhere and fits everyone! So it's pretty universal really! It also comes in blue. I'm not usually a ring person but this is so unique and stand-out that you can't help but love it.

Silver Galloping Pony Necklace

I love this necklace, it's a small little prancing pony in a silvery finish. It retails for £7.50 and is a really sweet and delicate piece that hangs below your collarbone. It's about 2.4cm in height and 1.8cm in width, so one of the more delicate and demure pieces from the site. That's what I liked best about this necklace, alot of the jewellery is very stand-out, bright and edgy which is great but this is more understated yet unique so great for people that go more subtle with their jewellery. It comes with the chain and is all handmade. Again, the attention to detail is amazing, the pony even has eyes, a nose, tail and hooves. I could definately see myself wearing this on a daily basis as it goes with everything and you just can't find something like this in normal shops!

Why do Bird Suddenly Appear Bracelet

This little bracelet is so sweet, and very much has the same feel as the necklace above, very understated and simple. It comes in four different sizes: small, medium, large, x-large so can be customised for every wrist size. It retails for £6 and is new to the store. The attention to detail, once more, is so delicate. It's two little birds of a branch surrounded by a gold heart, it's all so dinky and sweet! It doesn't have measurements for this piece though I would say it's fairly small, about the normal size of a charm you would expect to find on a charm bracelet but not at all chunky or invasive. It comes on a gold-colour chain and has a clasp for fastening at the top, the chain is also very thin and small so not at all invasive of sleeves etc.

I would really recommend shopping at Junkie Lovers. The creator, Anouska is so lovely, extremely helpful and very quick to post items, mine came within a couple of days and were carefully wrapped with all the info cards and a note of thankyou, which comes with every parcel and purchase. They also have a myspace page and email address, so do get in touch!

white 'vintage' inspired frame - I was looking for a nice white antique style photo frame for a while, and I found this one for a rather bargainous price. I love all the white detaling. I believe it's mostly wood with some plastic bits, I would have preffered an all wood one but I can't complain when it was only around £5!

Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day Shampoo - lovelovelove the way this smells, very yummy (but not edible) like
all the other soap and glory products. I have used it once so far and it made my hair feel really soft and lovely. I believe it's a non-build up shampoo, could be wrong though. I love the packaging, as always it's a lovely pink/retro design.

I was sent the Models Own polish by Stacey as part of a giveaway prize. I'm very happy as my local boots doesn't stock models. It's such a pretty colour, perfect for summer, can't wait to wear it. I got the Barry M nail effects as gift, it's such a cool idea, shame every other brand has tried to copy barry m now! I decided to try out one of the 'icecream' polishes from Barry M, I was actually looking for Barry M 'turquoise' but it was all out so I settled on this which is sort of similar, very nice all the same.

beautyuk pearl eyeliner 'eclipse' - I was sent these two by beautyuk and have been loving them. I have used the eyeliner round about everyday as it's less harsh than black liner, and the slight shimmer and blue hue make it really pretty (and makes green eyes POP!) and only £2.99 so very very affordable. The only thing I'd complain about is that it can go a little patchy in some places on first application.

beautyuk lip lust 'playboy' - is a really pretty wearable pink. At first glance I was expecting it to be a very frosty, shimmery and barbie pink, though I was pleasantly surprised to find it's a world away from that. It's actually fairly sheer, not massively glossy and not at all sticky. It almost looks like a tinted balm on the lips. It also has a nice spongey applicator, no manky brushes!

17 lipstick 'beehive' - I finally bought this, I wish I had sooner! It's such a nice lipstick, so moisturising, glossy and wearable. I would urge anyone who doesn't own it to buy it, and at only around £5 theres not really any reason to not do so. The colour is so pretty, a light pink/coral colour, I'd probably class it as one of my favourite lipsticks now!

H&M lipblam - I bought this on a whim whilst buying some clothes in H&M, I was actually pleasantly surprised. It smells lovely and the tin is so cute.

scarf primark - I bought this gorgeous scarf in primark for around £3. I adore the pattern and i goes with pretty much anything, though I was a little disapointed at how short it is, not a large scarf by any means but still very much worth the money. Primark have so many nice scarves at the moment!

001. I love the geo-metric type pattern of this top, i imagine it would be perfect in the summer. I also love the faded coral colour and little shell buttons, I will definately be looking for cheaper imitations

002. The burnt orange/coral colour of this dress is so pretty. I love the detailing around the waist and at the skirt. It's described as 'apricot' but I think thats kind of give or take. I have seen it in lighter pink shades which I personally really don't like but I find this shade really pretty

003. Ahh, look at the little panda. I'm a bit obsessed with panda's, their so sweet. Granted, this ring is a bit tacky but cute all the same

004. I have heard heaps of good stuff about the 'srub your nose in it' exfoliator, as I'm all out I think I might purchase some the next time a go into boots. Plus all their products smell lovely which I like!

005. I have recently discovered Accessorize's shoe range. I love this pair of corsage ballerina pumps. Not something I'd usually go for but I have always liked shoes with detailing on the toe and I love the colour too

006. Tales of Beedle and the Bard, I really really want to read this. I am nearly at the end of the Harry Potter series (tear) and I just want to read more and more! This is a short read too, which we be a bit of a relief after all these 800 page (ish) books I'm reading!

elf studio tinted moisturiser and a pretty bracelet

Not long ago, I was sent the elf studio tinted moisturiser for review purpouses, the product is currently featured here. Of course, I was very happy to see what I thought of the product as elf is always a cheap and cheerful brand. So lets get going...

I got my tinted moisturiser in shade Nude which is for fair to light skintones with a neutral balance of pink and yellow. Now, I'm usually a light-medium in most skincare products but sadly I did find this a tiny bit too dark. I can make is blend nicely if I use a sponge but at first glance it is pretty yellowy so I would definately recommend going a shade lighter than you usually would with this.

The consistency is nice, lightweight and pretty creamy, so it doesn't feel heavy. The coverage is decent too, for a tinted moisturiser it gives good coverage compared to most tinted moisturisers. The smell isn't invasive and overall the product is very blendable and easy to use, fool proof really!

I would definately repurchase this as it's nice and cheap (£3.50!) and the packaging looks nice and sleek as it's from the studio range. The SPF content makes is good for all year round use as well, as well as added Aloe, Cucumber and Vitamins A, C and E.

I was contacted by a lovely lady called Katie recently asking is I wanted to review one of her jewellery pieces. Her site is Bijoux Dolly and has a cute selection of vintage and recycled jewellery pieces, most of which are handmade. She adds new gems to her site all the time too, so keep a look out!

I was sent a charm bracelet with a pretty pink rose and a little pearl hanging from a bronze chain. It's so delicate and easy to wear and put on. I love all the little detailing in the rose itself as well as on the little pearl, which has a pretty little metal 'cup' for it to sit it. The finish is nice and very personalised, not just an imitation as many shops try to sell these days. I also loved the Bronze Leaf Charm Bracelet as it's so delicate, but in the end I settled for the pink rose, and I'm glad I did. The best thing about Katie's site though, are the prices, which are extremely affordable when compared to other vintage jewellery stores which try to sell their pieces for loads!

For once, an outfit with no Primark! (hah) I bought the t-shirt last weekend in the newlook sale for £3 and really like it, it's pretty basic but I like the shape and it's really light and perfect for this weather (hello sunshine!) I'm going off to town this afternoon to buy some presents and/or spend some of my birthday money! I'm thinking of looking for one of those burnt orange knitted cardigans, I'm not sure yet though.

I'm not sure about the boots, what do you think? I posted about them previously here, I love the way they look, especially the heels, but I think they look a little strange on me, I don't have skinny legs so they make me look a bit dumpy? Oh well, maybe they'll grow on me!

I should be revising right now, but being an A+ grade procrastinator, of course I'm not. I'm getting stressed out. Oh dear. I promise myself that I will revise when I get back. I was thinking of doing a post about my bedroom as it is so different since the last time you saw it, much more to my taste now, would you be interested? MAC shy girl & new shoes.

For my birthday, which was on monday, my sister very kindly bought me a MAC lipstick! I was very excited as I've never owned anything from MAC before. The shade I chose was 'shy girl' as I wanted something fairly neutral and not to out there but at the same time not a boring shade, after seeing how gorgeous this shade was, I went for it over Angel in the end. Shy Girl is a creamsheen finish, which is a lovely balmy yet opaque kind of finish, not drying at all! It has tiny shimmers in it which are gorgeous but not too noticeable. It's quite a muted coral shade, and after only this short period of time, is the nicest lipstick i've ever own/seen.

I wanted some brogues for ages so I picked these ones up cheap from primark. I like them without lases as lases always annoy me and i'm forever tucking them in. I might buy some very thin white ribbon and lace it through for a more vintagey effect, i havn't decided yet though...

boots - Newlook

I had been searching for some boots like this for a whille, and when I saw a size five for £15 in Newlook I snapped them up sharpish! I adore the faux fur trim at the top and the faded beaten up look. The heel is fairly small and wide so their very comfortable for everyday wear. I'm not sure what to wear them with yet, i'm thinking black tights and skirt or denim jeans?

Just a really quick post, it's ridonculously (?) late and i'm shattered!

Thankyou for all the birthday mesages on my previous post! I recieved some lovely presents (pretty bedding aloha!) This is what I wore out for dinner, I love the dress, the lace, the floral, it all works for me personally. Can't wait to go shopping and feed my clothes addiction! Sadly, I don't feel any wiser, ahh well, all in good time! I hope you all had a lovely day, a special happy birthday to heather who's birthday is also today!

001. I have been looking through all of the MAC lipsticks and have decided that if I were to buy any, angel would definately be the top candidate! I like that it's a kind of muted pink that's wearable but with a pop of colour

002. I really want a satchel to use for school, though I only like the 'tan' ones. I particulalry like this one as it seems quite roomy and is a decent price, unlike alot of them! It reminds me of something an old fashion doctor might carry...

003. I have wanted some leaf earrings or ages, I like this pair, though their not the nicest i've seen I just used this picture to give an idea! I was going to buy some but i have ze suspicions that my sister is getting me some for my birthday! I don't often wear dangly earrings but I imagine if I owned some of these, I would definately reach for them all the time! I especially wanted some after seeing Jennie's post

004. I am slowly but surely getting my way through all the Harry Potter books and I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying them, it's the first series of books, aside from the Twilight saga, that I have stuck with and actually wanted to read. Half-Blood prince is up next, I am getting some other HP books for my birthday which should keep me a happy bunny for a while!

005. I have been loving H&M knitwear recently, especially this light pink number, I don't think the colours would suit me so I probably wont buy this one, but I am planning to go in and get the navy version some time this week!

006. I want some nice lace up boots! I especially like these and their colour, but do they look good with jeans or a skirt? I don't know as I've never had any of this style...

My dressing table

I got this dressing table last summer from a second-hand warehouse kind of place, I think it was a charity furniture store. I loved it as soon as I saw it as it's really unique and I hadn't been able to find anything else like it. It was originally really dark brown and varished, which wouldn't have gone with my decor at all! So, I had to sand it all down to a light wood colour and then paint it twice with white oil based paint, it took ages to dry! Eversince it has been my favourite piece of furniture in my bedroom and I think it's really the nicest thing I own, mainly because I found it and no-one else will have it.

I love all the detailing, especially the little knobs attached to all the drawers. I also like the little strip of engraving that it has along the front, it seems to make it feel more special rather than just a bog standard white dressing table. I also adore the mirrors because you can pull them out and see your face from all angles; which is kind of scary in my case.

So yeah, thats it! As you can probably tell I like things to be quite minimal and the colours i prefer most are white or cream, they tend to make it look clean and fresh. Alot of things have changed in my room since i did this post. I think my room looks much nicer now and I've grown up alot in like a year (haha) so I moved the bed, got rid of some of my 'pink' stuff! My bedroom still isn't 100% the way i'd like it, but I'm working on it :)

Oh dears, all primark! But you've got to love some of their bargains. I love this dress, it doesn't look amazing on me granted, but i love the colour and the sheer material skirt. It's the only sheer piece of clothing i own infact! I bought this cardigan last winter, i then decided i hated it and chucked it out, so my mum took it; and then the other day she decided she didn't want it anymore- so i have it again! I actually really like it now, it's funny how quickly tastes change.

What do you think of this format of outfit post? I really like it and may start making a habit of it, Lily kindly told me how to do it, i felt silly for never realising! I like doing outfit of the days alot; i'm not sure if you like seeing them on my blog? But anyway, i might as well do what i enjoy. I'm sorry for looking so dishevelled/ manky in these pictures...

I had been eyeing up this Rolling Stones t-shirt from H&M online for ages, and finally decided to just buy it yesterday after many glances of indecision. It was only £9.99 so not a massive set back all in all. I mainly bought it because I love the rolling stones iconic logo, especially as this particular one is aged. I have also got my eye on one of the baseball jackets, after going on about how much I hated them, I pretty much love them now and would most like a navy one with grey sleeves if I could find one like that! I think this one is nice, but I don't want it because I have seen so many people wearing it now!

I thougth I would just say, I have been contemplating cutting my hair. Your probably sick of hearing about this as last year I posted a big thing about getting shorter hair (here) and then i never did! I am not going to do anything for the time being, but I'm thinking in the summer, when it's hotter, I may go for a long choppy bob, not a short scary 'little girls' bob though! I have been craving a sideswept fringe and messy layers! What do you think about that idea?

How To; Messy Waves

When I haven't straightened my hair or am stuck for ideas of what to do with it, I usually opt for this messy waves/curls type of look. It's really simple and easy to do, so I thought I'd share it with you! I find it quite hard to get my hair to wave the way I want it to, but this way always works, even when my hair is really 'straight'.

This hairstyle is best done on hair that hasn't been washed. You could do it with wet hair but I prefer to do this on my 'second day' a.k.a the day when I don't wash my hair!

Okay, so first things first. I plait my hair in two plaits before I go to bed. I always have to leave them in over night to get a really good wave in my hair, which makes it much easier to style in the morning. I like to plait my hair fairly tightly so it doesn't fall out. I always use this method on dry hair as the result in the morning is more natural and loose. But if you want to do it on wet hair you could, but your hair may look as though it's been crimped!

When I wake up, I take the plaits out and immediately tie my hair up into a messy bun, this will make the waves look less uniform and more 'messy' which is what I personally prefer. I aoplogise for my hair looking like split ends galore but it doesn't really bother me if I'm honest! I leave this bun in for about half an hour and go off and do other things while I wait...

001. after taking out the bun, I like to spray Dry Shampoo onto the roots and massage it in, this adds volume and gets rid of any 'second day shine' which can happen sometimes! I use a cheap one from boots as it's clear and works the best on my hair. You don't have to apply dry shampoo if you don't want to, I just like to take this step to add volume!

002. I then take about a handful of mousse and distribute it throughout my hair. I then scrunch scrunch scrunch my hair alot . If you don't scrunch, your hair will just give up and fall flat, so don't forget to scrunch all the mousse in until your hair feels dry.

003. I then apply hairspray all over my hair lightly and scrunch that in again. Voila! Thats all there is to it, now for some after pictures...

Finally, I like to mess it up a bit, seperate the curls and just generally play around with it until it looks right
...and there you have it! Let me know if you liked it, I know my hair isn't massively curly but it is wavy!

'ello. I went shopping yesterday. It was one of those days when I really had my 'shopping head' on and was all set the find some bargains. Most of this is makeup but there is a little mixture of goodies that I purchased...

I got this gorgeous palette from No7, which I believe was part of their Christmas line. It has some gorgeous eyeshadows including one of my regular favourites so I snapped it up, I couldn't resist the floral design- gahh! The blushed is a really nice colour and the brushes are surprisingly soft. It also comes with a mini Intense Volume mascara which is handy to just pop in when your taking it away with you. I also realised upon opening this up that it has a selection of cards which pull out of the edge of the palette which show you how to achieve a certain look with this palette!

I finally picked up Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation, after wanting it for so long! I got mine in shade '52 Vanilla' which I believe is the second shade, kind of light/medium. I haven't fully tried it yet but I swatched it one my hand and it seems really smooth and easy to blend, it made my skin look radiant and the smell is devine, thats the 'fruit therapy' working then ;)

I got this Stila lipstick from a site called Cheapsmells.com. It's called '02 Chelsea' and it's a gorgeous red/pink thats really sheer and has a balm like quality. It smells like vanilla and gives a kind of 'just bitten' look.

I never usually take much notice of Prestige but I saw this mascara on offer, well my sister showed me, and I liked the look of it. I quite like the packaging and the brush is really nice. It's a fairly dry formulation which is my favourite kind of formulation as it's buildable. I haven't fully tried it yet but can't wait!

I bought two Barry M lip paints in '151' and '147'. 151 is a gorgeous neon red with a slight peachy tone to it and 147 is the classic peachy pink colour which I'm sure you've all seen. These two are surprisingly creamy and very very pigmented. I swatched them in the shop yesterday, and I still had red splodges all over my hand which won't go away!

I got a Red Barry M lipgloss. I already had the really light pink one that smells of strawberry milkshake and I love it so I picked up this one, it smells of strawberries! It's actually quite a sheer red so it's not all in your face. I love the packaging for these.

This gorgeous neclace was only £3.60 in Accessorize's massive 70% off sale, it was originally £12! They had so much lovely stuff it was hard to choose but eventually I settled on this long chain big beaded neclace, I love how old and vintagey it looks!

My mum bought me these boots from Shoe Zone as I was wearing an old pair of black ankle boots which made me slip over in the ice alot (very embarassing!) I love these, they are kind of a washed out dark brown faux leather material, they remind me of riding boots but all the buckles make them more wearable. They go perfect with my black skinny jeans as well as my favourite skirt (win!) and their so comfortable it's unreal!

Oh by the way, it would be really appreciated if you could tell me below what you'd like to see on this blog, I feel like I've been slacking and I really love blogging but I have hit a wall in what to blog about so suggestions will be greatly recieved. I was thinking of doing a post on my bedroom as it has changed around alot since I last posted about it!

Trying something different...

I have really been enjoying experimenting with makeup recently, mainly because of all the spare time I have on my hands (which probably should be spent of wrapping presents!) The other evening, I was going out and wanted to try something different to what I would usually wear, it's very dramatic and uses different 'shapes' to the ones I would usually feel comfortable wearing. I incorporated lots of glitter and dark eyeshadow, but attempted to do it in a tasteful way so that I didn't end up looking like a hot mess (!)

I have noticed recently, that in alot of my photos I look as though I have ombre hair. A few months ago I did ombre hair on my brown hair, I then found it to hard to handle and had alot of hair cut off, thus chopping off the ombre ends. Though recently I have been higlighting my hair and now it kind of looks likes it's been ombred, even though that wasn't the intention, I quite like it! In real life my hair looks more blonde all over rather than ombred.anyway, enough rambling!

The snow has turned strange where I live, it's not like proper snow anymore but it's really icy and hard and literally all the trees are white, it looks quite beautiful. i recently hit 1000 followers, it's amazing! I know it sounds very cliche, but i really can't believe it and never thought i would be in this position. Thankyou all for following my blog, reading what i have to say and showing your support, it means the world! I really do enjoy blogging and can see myself doing it for a long time! I love reading other peoples blogs and just the general things that happen around here!

Also, I'm super excited about Christmas (which is 19 days away if anyones interested) It feels so close now and i just love the build up, all the pretty lights, the christmas shopping and all that jazz! Christmas is definately the best time of the year for me, oh i wish it could be christmas everyday! As it gets christmassy i start browsing around for pretty christmas items such as decorations, presents and lovely festive goodies! I simply can't wait!

It would be a great help if you could tell me in the comments below what you would like to see more of on my blog. I have kind of hit a wall in what would interest you and what i want to do, so just give me a hoot if you fancy with some suggestions on what you'd like to see (like outfits of the day, reviews all that good stuff) and now i'll leave you with some pretty pictures to make you feel all christmassy...

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

I have been trying out the pink Bubblegum lip scrub for a good few months now. I have especially been using it recently as the weathers so cold and I get very dry, chapped lips around this time of year. Though I haven't personally tried the other flavours, I would say ( from reviews I've read) that this is the overall favourite out of all three types of Lush Lip Scrubs. As I believe, there is also Chocolate and Mint, I think Chocolate would be wierd and have been told it smells funny! So Bubblegums most probably the prefered and recommended flavour to go for if you are interested!

This scrub smells amazing, definately like bubblegum, sweets and sugar! Also, as you can see, the colour is really pretty. Though something that did dissapoint me the most, is the ingredients. Basically, and I mean basically, it is made from Sugar, some essential oils and colouring. I think that is a little silly. I mean it's all good that they use a minimal amount of products and they don't combine it with lots of horrible chemicals... but really, nearly £5 for basically damp sugar that looks pretty and smells nice? I suppose it's all about personal preference.

Anyway, aside from that, it is a very good exfoliator. It does what it claims to do and does make my lips feel much smoother and seems to get rid of dry skin which is good. It also seems to stop lips from feeling so sore and cracked, which often happens as it gets colder. Though I would recommend applying lipbalm afterwards as it can be a little drying when used alone. I think it also enhances the colour and plumpness of your lips as when you rub your lips you encourage the blood to gather close to the skin due to the stimulation, which is kind of cool. Only a little is needed for each application, too.

Overall I would say it's handy to have, the pot feels nice a heavy and sleek, it works well and smells nice, but in my opinion it's probably a bit of a novelty thing to have. If I'm honest I wouldn't go and get a second simply because I could make it myself if I felt I needed it. I only say this because of the price though and if it was say, half the price, I would retry it when I've finished this one. Oh, you can also lick it off your lips afterwards which is rather yummy and saves having to clean it off with tissue ( better to kill two birds with one stone,eh?)

An obsession with Harry Potter...

I am now obsessed with Harry Potter, which is strange as I never used to care much for it. I have watched all the films back to back and feel profoundly absorbed by the magical world of Hogwarts, many many times I have dreamed that Hogwarts could be real and I could go and be friends with Hermione, Ron & Harry :) The sad thing is though, I have never read the books. I began to read one a few years ago but got bored. But now I am truly excited about reading the whole series. I ordered the first book off Amazon the other day so fingers crossed it should be here soon! The idea of magic fascinates me. I especially love the Quidditch and the prom scene in The Goblet of Fire :)

e.l.f and nail polish buys

Hello!

It feels like I haven't posted in ages! Glad to be back into the swing of things. I was sent some products from e.l.f or eyes lips face which I'm sure your all familiar with by now! The items I was sent are all new releases so I was looking forward to trying some new stuff from e.l.f's line

I have only worn this nail polish once since receiving it. I adore the colour, which is an off-black shimmery navy. It is more wearable than black as it has a splash of colour going through it. I was impressed with the vibrancy of the polish though I did have to apply a few coats to get it to the desired consistency

This is perfect for using a highlight as it matches my skincolour, but has some shimmer in it which means it's not completely un-noticable. It leaves barely any fallout and feels very smooth to apply. Stay fairly well though I did notice a small amount of creasing after a few hours of wear.

I fell in love with this gloss the first time I wore it. I can't say enough good things! The colour is gorgeous, it's kind of a sheer red with some plum and pink. I thought it would come out quite dark but it's actually every wearable. The smell is to die for! It smells like Cherry Coffee and amaretto! Which believe me, is the nicest combo! It isn't too sticky and stays put for a very long time for the price it costs.

Now moving onto some nail polishes I have aquired recently...

This is such a gorgeous shade. And it's my first Nails Inc polish! Although you can't really tell by my dodgy photography here, it's a shimmery dark red with lots of fine gold reflex going through it. The name St.Tropez really suits this lovely colour!

I love Barry M Nail Paints, so I picked up two, Red Glitter & Shocking Pink, I won Mint Green from the lovely Gemma again :) I have a slowly growing collection of these lovelies!

I found this dress from topshop for £5 in the Cancer Research shop. I never usually look in charity shop as I often find nothing that interesting, I really like this dress though. It seems like a party dress to me, and seems flattering for my shape

How to; Ombre Hair

I finally took the plunge and 'ombre-d' my hair! I love the way ombre hair looks, kind of edgy yet pretty at the same time. When I did this I hadn't seen a huge amount of people with it, infact only fellow bloggers. But now it seems to be all the rage and I have seen dozens of people sporting the trend. I know alot of people worry about ruining their hair or doing it wrong/getting a definate line between blonde and brown, but I would not recommend wasting money at the hairdresser, they may make it look too neat and it will probably cost a fair bit too. It's so simple to do, here's how I achieved ombre hair;

001. Find a highlighting kit for 'light blonde' highlights, or simply buy the bleach sachets and make those up.

002. Make sure your hairs straight and apply the cream messily all over the tips of your hair (don't be neat!)

003. Leave on for as long as you wish, depending on your hair colour, I left mine on for around 30 minutes and I have fairly light brown hair.

004. Make sure you check the sectionsevery 5-10 minutes to check it's not going too light

005. When it's the colour you want, simply wash it off thoroughly and apply an intensive treatment ( this process can be fairly damaging)

006. et voila! Ombre hair, and hardly any money spent.

I was recently sent two stunning neclaces by an amazing Vintage Jewellery maker named Zara Taylor. All of her pieces are inspired by vintage finds and styles.

I was kindly sent two beautiful neclaces.

I also recieved on inter-changeable long pendant chain to use for both of them,

it has a small clasp which fastens.

I really like the idea of a longer chain which is changeable as I can wear one alone or both of them together.

As soon as I saw this mini-harmonica pendant on the website, I fell completely in love. I can't think of anything cuter! It's a really pretty little thing measuring just 1.3cm x 3.5cm. I was besotted by this adorable little dinky thing and really loved the tarnished metal which further adds to it's vintage charm. I was gobsmacked to find that you can actually play this! It's described as a music lovers vintage gadget, I agree, what more could you ask for. Even more exciting news is that this very design made by Zara Taylor has been worn by Fearne Cotton!

Although this is a cute little thing, it also seems very quirky and original to me. I have never come across a mini-binocular neclace! This is only 30mm and made from real brass. It has an antique finish which makes it seem so precious. As with the harmonica pendant, you can actually see through these! I have never seen such amazing jewellery that looks adorable and acts as a mini gadget.

Zara Taylor's designs really have love put into them and are so special and feel personalised. Her original pieces have also been seen on Alexa Chung, Davina McCall as well as Fearne Cotton and have also been featured in such magazines as Vogue.

Eyeko Shimmer Cream

Here is yet another review on something which I absolutely love!

Yep, it's this little gem from Eyeko.

I can't even begin to go into the uses for this handy little pot of cream. My favourite use is to use it as a higlighter on the top of the cheekbones. I have also tried it mixed with foundation with is really nice but a little too shimmery for everyday, in my opinion.

It's such a pretty pinky gold colour and is really thick and creamy. It feels really soft to the touch and not at all grainy.I also adore the packaging, like most Eyeko stuff it really hits the mark with "cuteness"

It's only around £5 (!)

Good stuff all round :)

As you can see it's so pink and goldy all at the same time :) It's really shimmery, but the shimmers are very fine and densly packed in. I have nothing bad to say!

Should I Go For The Chop?

I am so bored with my hair at the moment. I never feel content with how it looks and really want a change. I have had long to fairly long hair for a few years now and think it may be time for a change. The thing I really want is a messy, layered long bob with a sideswept fringe. I don't know if it would be too hard to maintain though? And would it suit me? I suppose it's only hair but I don't want to make the wrong decision :) Give me your thoughts! The pictures represent what I would have if I did have a haircut

I think it would be easier to maintain shorter as my hair is rather thick so it often looks a bit weighed down. Does anyone have a bob type hairstyle? Are they easy to maintain?

So yeah my hair is long at the moment, what do you think?

The Body Shop Bronzing Powder

Happy Sunday! Today I thought I would do a quick post on a HG product. I feel this product deserves more recognition, I couldn't live without it!

I love this bronzer because it works well on light skin all the way to medium toned skin. Most bronzers, that have a brown undertones, can look muddy. But as this has a terracota, bronzey undertone it's really wearable and looks as if you are sunkissed.

It is a smooth powder formulation which applies and blends really easily. It's the perfect contour shade and these particular compact bronzers come in loads of shades, so it would be easy to pick the right one for you. I have had it for about a year now and can't get enough of it even to this day.

The packaging has a really pleasant weight, it feels quite heavy and expensive and I just love the shiny bronze packaging. I have been using this everyday and still have a tonne left.

It retails for £12 which is kind of pricey but totally worth it if you like sunkissed, matte bronzers which are easy to use!

Pixi Blush £14- My local Boots has just started stocking Pixi makeup, which I am so excited about :) I have never tried Pixi before but heard alot about it. It seems a little pricey which is why I only pickd up one thing. I love the way it looks like icecream :) The white side is the higlighter and the pink is the blush, but as my skin isn't pale enough to take blush that pale, I'm just going to swirl them together and use it as a higlighter. Usually I hate the brushes that come with Blushers but the one that came with this is really soft- who knows I might even use it ;)

Barry M Dazzle Dusts- I took advantage of the More Magazine Barry M Dazzle Dust offer and got two. Both of these shades are really pretty and so pigmented. Well done Barry M!

Primark Tights £1- I bought some black tights for school, boring I know :)

Primark Hairband £1- I couldn't believe how cheap this was! And so cuuuuuuuuuute :)

Newlook Crop Top £5- This was reduced from £12 so of course I had to buy it :) I love the soft colour and like the love heart twist. My mum thinks it's emo-y? I didn't think so, oh well, I still love it :) It has like holes in the sleeves which are t-shirt length and goes to about the bellybutton but obviously a top is required underneath!

Johnson's 3 in 1 Gentle Exfoliating Facial Wash

I have always loved Johnson's as a company. All of their products seem to be very gentle, having sensitive skin, this brand probably works the best for me. I have never had rashes, stinging or break outs with any of their skin care products.

Today I thougth I would do a review on this product, as I particularly love it!

Basically, it's a facial wash, a cleanser and a gentle exfoliator all in one. I would really recommend it for people who have dry or sensitive skin.

Even though its "exfoliating" it really isn't that abrasive to the skin, which is both bad and good. The good thing about it being gentle is that it doesn't make your skin red, it doesn't make it hurt and it doesn't feel like it's scrapping really hard at your skin like some large-partical exfoliators. You can bearly feel the tiny beads taking away the dead skin cells, it feels more like a slightly rough face wash.

This can also be bad though, as it means it doesn't really do a great job at buffing away dead skin cells, it does remove some. Though saying that is does make it feel supple and renewed.

It's quite moisturising and doesn't contain very reactive chemicals which could irritate or inflame the skin. It's overall very gentle and good for everyday use after taking off your makeup. I really like it because I'm the sort of person who doesn't like rough exfoliators and I have sensitive skin! So, if your anything like me, and fancy a cheap alternative to large-partical exfoliators, definately try this out!

Morocco Loot

Hello!

I am back from Morocco finally (after 17 days!) it feels like I haven't blogged in ages!

Morocco was really good and very culturally different to here in England, I really loved the holiday. I may post some holiday snaps on here soon. Anyway, here is some things I bought. Most of these things are from Morocco- I didn't buy much- there was too much stuff to choose from!

I bought Rimmel Nude Delight lipstick from the Duty Free at Manchester for only £2! I had been eyeing this up for ages and I grabbed it whilst it was still there! What a bargain.

I am very excited about this. It's the first solid perfume I have ever tried, it comes in a small block which you rub onto areas you would usually apply perfume and then rub it in. It works the same as a liquid perfume, but lasts longer. It smells absolutely gorgeous! My one was in the scent 'ambre' . It reminds me of Lush products- its very sweet but quite musky as well, possibly the best fragrance I have ever encountered! I got it in a little shop in Morocco which was selling lots of spices and nice smelling things

I a-d-o-r-e these! They are like Harem pants, they are super comfy! Loads of people in Morocco wore these so I joined in too! I never thought I would buy something like this but I really love them, it's like wearing a nappy with super big trousers over the top- and they look pretty jazzy on too ;)

Yet another scarf to add to my collection- one day I will show you my slowly growing obsession which is my scarf collection! I really love all the detail and the colour is just what I was looking for, on one side its purpley pink and on the other it's a coraly colour.

Today I went into a small town relatively close to where I love thats famous for its big old secondhand book shops and antiques. I went into a small antique house and snapped a few shots- is that naughty? I didn't actually buy anything as it was a little overpriced to say the least, My mum did have the intention of finding a pretty two tier cupcake stand but no luck in that department... hehe

Ah I just love that mini chair!
