You've been waiting in the sun too long.

Here are some photographs I have taken this week. One of my new year's resolutions was to take more photographs, especially as I got a new camera for christmas. I am of course by no means 'professional' - I've never done 'proper' photography but I do really enjoy taking pictures and working with composition/lighting. I really love my new camera, despite not being a flashy SLR or anything, it's still very good in my opinion.
I was wondering, what do you think is the most important element of a photo? And do you have any tips of how to take the best photographs? (p.s Happy New year!)

these are gorgeous photos! I love ones that capture a little moment or something that the photographer thinks is beautiful and is often fragile.. like the light on the tomatoes! xx

You take such lovely pictures you don't always need a cannon or a nikon or what not to take really beautiful pictures, as you have proven :}

Also, it would mean a lot if you were to have a little look at my blog please its;

These are such gorgeous photos! I agree with Hannah, I think lighting is super important & can really make or break a photo as well as set the mood and everything you're trying to portray! I kind of just snaps whatever I think looks good, haha. I also do think picking an interesting subject is really important, my fave things to photograph are probably architecture & landscapes. <3 Lovely post :) xo

These are lush photos, especially the first one and the one of the cat, they're beautiful!

I think the most important element to a photo is to capture it in it's true nature. I do some photography myself and I never spend too much time trying to get the right moment. I like to just snap away if I like the look of something and if it turns out right, it was the right moment :) xxx

This was one of my resolutions too, though because I work from home I find it hard to be inspired by anything here to take photos of.
